Little Boots.

Am really enjoying the free Little Boots Album our TV producer was sent from EMI. She's even more amazing to watch on youtube, where I first saw her with her weird electric instrument. (What is that thing?) Here's her doing a storming performance on Jules Holland a while back.

Anti-Domestic Abuse ad.

This is very clever. The picture looks like a happy couple. Then, when you turn away, reveals the abuse happening behind closed doors. Very powerful. Nice use of interactive special build bus shelters by a German agency for Amnesty International.

RIP MJ

I woke up, like most of the world, to the news that Michael Jackson has died of a heart attack. It felt a bit like it did when Diana died. Shocking and surreal. That's the end, that's it. No more new music. No more strange stories. No more court cases.

When I got to work I found it a little difficult to deal with all the jokes and comments. In my opinion anyone dying is no cause for celebration. Especially not someone who so clearly wasn't at peace with themselves. Personally I thought he was a genius. Ok he was also psychologically disturbed, but he wrote some of the best pop songs ever. Here are my top five:

1)Billy Jean
2)Beat it.
3) Remember the time. (When I was 11 I was in love with him singing this song)
4) Thriller
5) Dangerous

RIP MJ

A gathering of bacon sandwiches

This morning I woke up, lazily looked at the alarm clock, realized I had forgotten about Creative Breakfast and swore very loudly. I got out of the house in 15 mins and power-walked to work.

So today's Creative Breakfast was themed around "inspiration". I talked about the new Coke advert: yeah yeah yeah lalala.  How much do I wish that I had had a part in making this advert. It is so cute. And the beauty of it is that it translates to online so well.

The ad is all about capturing the happiness of drinking coke in the summertime. A man unpacks his piano like instrument filled with little coke creatures. Every time he presses a key it squirts coke into the mouth of a creature making it sing. And you can play his musical instrument yourself online. Try the link below.

Second time lucky.

My computer is a gorgeous new apple with black keys and a shimmery silver finish.
But is it still a load of crap.
This is the second time I have attempted my post because said computer crashed. I think it is a bit like Megan Fox. Gorgeous on the outside but stupid on the inside.

Anyways. I am a 26 year old girl working in an advertising agency in London. My job title is "Creative" which makes you feel pretty smug when you tell people after a few pints. You need the few pints to stop it from seeming faintly ridiculous. I am also a Copywriter, so I have no excuse if this blog is very badly written.

This blog will probably end up being a diary. But I will post links to anything interesting or beautiful that I find and talk about particular bits of work that I particularly like. I will also post up any art work which I have managed to find time to produce. I love to paint, but I work such long hours that finding the time is almost impossible.
